Pepsi 500

Earlier this year i went to the Indianapolis 500 with Brad Hoopes, Gordon Hoopes, and their Uncle Barry. The 4 of us had the greatest time. When we got home we all started talking about other races we could go to. Since we have never been to a NASCAR race we decided to take advantage of the fact that their is a speed way a short drive from were Gordon lives. Brad and Uncle Barry came in from Louisiana on Friday and today we all went to the Pepsi 500 in Fontana CA. Although not like Indy cars this was still a really fun day.

I Think I'm funny

So on Friday night I pick up Brad Hoopes and his uncle from the airport. Brads sister Darby and I were joking around two days earlier and I though it would be funny if I dressed up as their "Chauffeur". The next day after joking around I was talking to Brads dad Gordon and told him the idea. He found me a chauffeurs hat and Darby made me a sign. Brad and Uncle Barry got a good laugh out of it.

Baby Shower!

How blessed I am to have moved to an area with so many wonderful people. The ladies I go to church with threw a baby shower for me and two other moms that are due at the end of the month. It was a wonderful party. It was nice to get to know the other ladies even more, this group of women is absolutely amazing! Any way I am grateful to be given a shower since this is my SIXTH baby... diapers was the one thing that I asked for (although I secretly hoped for other things, it is so fun to get new baby stuff!) I was blow away by the generosity of those that came, and even some who couldn't make it....

My "sweet" friend made these cupcakes. They were beautiful and so very yummy I am told (I am not eating carbs right now!)

The woman who hosted the event made these adorable centerpieces, she is so giving and creative!
Can you say WOW, look at all the packages. I am still overwhelmed by the generosity!

We took the gifts home wrapped. Deric and I had so much fun opening them! He took a few pics of me... this one is for you ABC!

Lots of great baby items... and lots of diapers, I am so grateful!
