Winter Waves!!

Last Monday (1/19) We went to the beach in Malibu. It was a beautiful day. The water was chilly but warm enough that the kids enjoyed playing it. Here are some viedos to show what a great time we all had.

Sam's Scottish Puppet

Samantha is learning all about family ancestry in school. She had to make a puppet to show the clothing that a person from her native country would wear. This is what we made. She helped with a lot of the sewing, it was a lot of fun. We are actually have many different countries we could have chosen but Sam is Scottish on both sides... Wallace from her dad and Campbell from her mom.

Looking back at Christmas

We had a lot of fun preparing for Christmas this year. The children and I made ornaments and fudge, cookies and wreaths. This year Jessica mad a wreath all by herself. She started by cutting "hands" or pieces of green from the boughs. Then she wrapped them with floral wire to her wreath ring. Finally she decorated it... here she is with the finished product!! Great Job Jess. We had so much fun listening to music and decorating our tree... here are the children with the end result. By the time Christmas was over Nelson had removed just about every ornament from the lower branches!

This is Christmas morning. Jessica and Sarah woke up before six but they were instructed not to come to our room until after 6am. We ended up waking Sammy and Carrie up, you can see here that they were Not the first ones down the stairs!!

Ranny bought the girls these cute dresses for Christmas. I am not sure how much longer I am going to get away with dressing them the same but I am going to enjoy it while I can. They really weren't cooperating here!!

Pam makes stockings for everyone in the family. This picture shows all of them lined up and full! There are 28... that is a lot of people and a lot of work to hand make all of these beautiful stockings. We are grateful for her dedication to making sure that everyone has a stocking!

And here are the 28 people that go with the stockings. It was so much fun to have the Everitt family all together for the holidays!!

And here we are... this picture was taken on New Years Eve (day). Happy New Year Everyone!!!

Our Baby Boy Turns One

Nelson Turned ONE on January First. Here his is Just 24 hours old... he is still our handsome BIG boy!!
I made a cake for him this year and we celebrated with the rest of the Everitt's on 12/31. Rachel and Noah's Birthday are the 2nd and 3rd so we all celebrated together!!

How do I eat this?

His Aunt "Teta" helped him out by handing him a piece!

It wasn't long before he figured it out after that!!!

We finally had to stop him when he started smearing blue frosting all over!

Happy Birthday to our Little Man. Here he is in his new sports coat and dress shirt that he got for his birthday. He really does look like a little man!!

Nelson's First Snow!!

Enough Said!!

My Little Sisters Wedding

I went home just before Christmas for my little sister Amanda's wedding. It was so much fun. It snowed a lot while I was there... especially on the wedding day. The ceremony was held in a barn that isn't heated during a snow storm. Here are some pictures...
Here comes the bride.... Arriving via her car they used an umbrella to keep the snow off of her. Here she is with our dad.

Her side of the family. If you look closely you can see we all have red noses!!

I love this picture. She is standing in front of an antique wagon. There are all kinds of decorations and lights around her, but I find the window with the snow the most beautiful accent to her dress!
It was so cold. We found little comfort in this heater (but we wouldn't have given it up!!)
