Only a few weeks left!!

I got to see the baby today. I had an ultrasound to measure the size of our "little" one. The ultrasound tech said he alredy looks like the size of a full term baby!! Only a few weeks left until we get to meet him. The kids are so excited, so am I!

Jessica's Birthday

My oldest baby, the one who made me a mother, turned 9 today. It can't be. I feel it was just yesterday that I held her in my arms for the first time. She was perfect, and I was overjoyed at the wonderful little spirit that I had been given. She has grown, A LOT, since then. She is now a beautiful, sensitive, loving, caring...young lady. I am grateful for her, and the fact that she is a wonderful big sister, and helper. Happy Birthday to my "baby" Jessica!

To celebrate Jess had a sleepover last night with her friend Jocelyn. They played wii, decorated the house, made chocolates and chocolate covered popcorn, made pillowcases, and watched a movie. I turned out the lights at 12am...today she was exhausted, but I think it was a fun sleepover!
Today we had the cousins over for cake and ice cream. Here they all are wishing her a happy birthday after she opened her gifts. (Thank you for the great gifts!)

Jess requested a guinea pig cake this year. This is what I came up with, I think it came out pretty good. She definitely liked it!

Taggie Ball

Ok, so five weeks to go and I should be "nesting" right!? Instead I am trying out new sewing projects. First I made a pillow case for my niece's baptism. I am working on a quilt for Wally (and dolly matching ones for his siblings), and I just made this cute little "Taggie Ball". I saw the instructions on line and just had to try it. Here is my first one... it took about 45 min, but the next will be a lot shorter!! The instructions, if you want to make one, are here (she calls them goofballs).

My next project is a cute apron... I will be posting pics of all of these when they are done!

The other day we went to the Temple to take pictures of our children. The spot is so beautiful, we knew we would be able to find many places to take nice pictures.

Matching Shirts

This post is really for my mom. She bought the girls matching shirts and I know she'd like to see how they look... so here they are!

Mowing the lawn/yard work

The yard has really gotten out of hand lately. So we decided to tackle it as a family. Jessica was able to mow the lawn for the first time... it takes me back (but to a much much larger yard!) Her dad had to help her start it... it is still a bit much for her but she gets and A for effort!!

Animal Rescue Heroes

This was taken of the kids during their stay in NH. They were all animal rescue heroes... as you can see they were very well prepared for rescuing. It was so fun to watch the kids play so well together even after a year a part.
